Welcome to Downey Central Missionary Baptist Church
Downey Central Missionary Baptist Church was organized on March 22, 1964, having been sent out by a sister church in Sacramento, California. We are an independent Baptist church located in the City of Downey, approximately 25 minutes south of Los Angeles, with convenient access from the 105, 710, 605, and 91 freeways.
 
While we fellowship and associate with local, state, and national New Testament Baptist churches, we remain an autonomous congregation of believers—self-governing and self-supporting under the headship of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Our desire is to be a faithful New Testament church, following the pattern and teachings found in the Holy Scriptures.

In obedience to Christ’s command, we seek to reach our community with the gospel and invite all people to attend our services, hear the preaching of God's Word, and grow in the knowledge of the Scriptures.
Our focus is not on entertainment, elaborate productions, or contemporary trends. Rather, we are committed to biblical preaching, sound doctrine, meaningful Bible study, heartfelt worship, and Christian fellowship. If you are seeking to understand God's Word and learn how to faithfully serve Him and others, we believe you will find a welcoming church family among us.
